- Student must be able to achieve a scientific foundation sufficient for understanding the principle of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
- Student must be able to acquire adequate knowledge, attitude, and skill/clinical competence for the performance of various oral maxillofacial procedures expected of a dental surgeon.

Leaning outcome: Student must be familiar with all congenital orofacial disorders and be able to outline the treatment.

Management of emergencies
Learning outcome: Student must be conversant with all TMJ diseases and do adequate planning for pre-prosthetic surgery as well as recognize and manage emergency conditions.
OMS 606.2 (Clinical) 6 units
Learning outcome: Student must be able to perform clinical procedures like setting up of IV line, passing of Naso-gastric tube, insertion of catheter, performance of simple IMF, suturing of simple laceration, debridement and dressing of wounds.
